beach party!!
Assalamu Alaykum,
A good friend of mine whom I shall give the name 'T' is having an all ladies private beach bash next week, which starts at 3.00pm when the sun is high and sunny, to 7.00pm when the moon is almost, well.....moony?.. well anyway as every other female specimen, I have ransacked my whole wadrobe looking for the perfect swimsuit outfit! luckily it is a private beach meaning there will be no male specimens about allowing all of Ts friends to dress as they wish. Due to my lack of the perfect outfit, i have decided to go shopping for the swimmng costume and sarong, but here is an outfit i might consider.....

Dubai bride show: 2011
the Dubai bride show 2011 took place at the Dubai international exhibition center on the wednesday 30th March to saturday 2nd of April from 2.30pm to 10.30pm, it was so beautiful masha'allah!Her highness Sheikha Bint Saif, chairman of the Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE and wife of his highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the UAE, was there to cut the ribbon of the four day long fashion, beauty and shopping event! the programmes included in the 10dirham package included fashion shows by international and national designers like SIMA (Thailand); ANJALEE & ARJUN KAPOOR (India); FARAGE (France); THE ITALIAN WEDDING, MARIEL SPOSA (Italy); LA MAISON SAOULI (Morocco); LOVE SONI (UK); LIBERTY OF LONDON FOR LACE ART (UK/UAE); DABYA HAUTE COUTURE (QATAR) and many more. marriage councellors from the islamic affairs department were also there to give young women advice to keep strong and healthy relationships with their husbands in order to avoid divorces.....

2011 predictions: headscarves
asalamu alaykum,
according to the last 2010 issue of the economist magazine, 2011 would be a year when the headscarves would become very popular and fashionable..good news isnt it? well for us muslimahs fantastic news! although the headcover isnt as severe as the islamic one it is a good start. what used to be a trend in the 70s is now a 2011 must have! designers such as Armani, Emilio Pucci and Dolce and Gabbana have incorporated this trend into their spring summer collections. these head pieces vary from turbans to simple scarves leaving pony tails at the back or fringes in the front, here are some i think are quite pretty......
(starting from the top 1st)dolce and gabbana(2nd) Armani (3rd) Issa London (4th) salvatore Ferragamo (5th) loewe (6th) Emilio Pucci.

under the abaya
what i love so much about the abaya is that i can wear anything i like underneath it! i could put on a simple black abaya with a cute mini dress or shorts underneath it, so nobody would know except a few girlfriends! so buy your dresses and your shorts, but wear them at home alone or under an abaya!

2011 golden globes...
assalam alaykum......... the 2011 golden globes held in beverly hills on the 16th of January, btw ,was the 68th of the awards, was truly a delightful event! some stars were dressed beautifully, while some outfit choices were quite questionable.as usual the event was covered by guilina rancic, ryan seacrest and the fashion police crew, who also looked fantastic. a few of my favourites, and not so favourites are listed below:
